Mobile Society (MoSo)
We are a research team as part of the research group for industrial software (INSO) dealing with mobile systems, technology and applications that have an impact on our daily life and society.
Summer Term 2012
In the summer termin we offer the following topics for labs and bachelor/master thesis with a major on security as well as image processing. Please note, that we prefere students doing a lab in combination with their thesis in order to reach a suitable level of material/knowledge for their thesis. Of course, we are happy do dicuss different options.

- Security and Code-Quality Analysis of a Spring-Based Web-Application
- ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) - Android

Winter Term 2011/2012
In the winter term 2011/2012 we do offer lectures and labs dealing with smartscards, RFID and NFC Technology. Our Focus therefore is Smart and secure embedded systems.

- Evaluation Java Card Development/SIM Toolkit Dev-Tools and implementation of extensions

Summer Term 2011
In the summer term 2011 we do offer several labs dealing with mobile systems and software. Our focus in the summer term 2011 is mobile payment and customer interaction.
The following topics are available:
- Native Android Development: Integration of new hardware (printer, barcode scanner, keyboard), implementation of drivers, demo software.
- Embedded Linux: Implementation of a POS applications for contactless/NFC payment using an of-the-self POS Terminal
- Java Card OS: Implementation, Testing and performance tuning of a smartcard application for contactless payment
- Backend: Evaluation for Cloud Computing Services (Amazon, Google) for hosting a clearing environment
- Processes/Usability: Evaluation of payment processes at the POS
- Hardware: Implementation of a tracing hardware/software for RF communication
